Fire Station Wallhangings

WHEW...I finished the last of the 4 bindings on the Fire Station Wallhangings! They are now ready for my son to take to the stations and have the firefighters decide where to hang them. If you look closely, they are the same but different! LOL...It's strange...but my firefighting fabric stash is pretty depleted! I used 6.5 yards of fabric for the wallhangings! WOOHOO!!! That's more than I bought on Saturday! LOL

The "Fire 2 Dist" part of these are t-shirts from the station!

Great Weekend and Fire Station Wallhangings

DH and I had an awesome time on the Plaza. We ate well, drank well, talked a lot, and just reconnected with each other. Sometimes couples just have to do that!! The weather was gorgeous and we walked around with sweatshirts as enough warmth! We saw the movie "Juno" and I highly recommend it to you! Funny but a great story that is so relevant to our world today. Here is a pic of DH in front of the "Fountain of Ewes"! LOL


I put the borders on the last 2 fire station wallhangings today and made labels for them. Hopefully they will get quilted some time this week. I hope the firefighters like them and that they brighten up the wall at the stations!

Wallhangings for the Fire Stations

Well, I spent about 6 hours in my sewing room today and had a BLAST!!!!! When my son took his fire quilt into the station one time (I made it for his graduation from firefighting academy) the firefighters asked Dan if I could make something for their walls cuz they were pretty bare! Of COURSE I said YES!!!!!

I have 2 tops finished and just have to add the last borders on the other 2.

They are similiar but with different borders on them. I hope they like them!!! Here is the first one:

I am tired but it's a GOOD tired! Maybe I'll applique a couple of my hearts...I only have 8 more to go on that project! WOOHOO!!!

Another fire station top done

Well, the blocks that I finished over the weekend FINALLY got sewn together today and borders applied as well! WOOHOO...so another top is done. Hopefully I will get it quilted and bound this weekend. I won't add it to my slideshow to to the right until it's finished. Totally from STASH!!!
